Nature based solutions are an important means for cities and regions to address their societal challenges as well as support nature, communities and the economy. Cities and regions across Europe have been working towards mainstreaming and upscaling different types of NbS.
In the third NBRACER UrbanByNature webinar “Lessons Learned in planning, developing and implementing nature-based solutions”, the experiences and insights gleaned from implementation in these regions will be in focus. This webinar gets into what worked and did not work in providing the local population the opportunity to engage in the process of NbS implementation, placing particular emphasis on how to move from consultation to ownership. By sharing both successes and challenges from the projects, this webinar aims to create an understanding of how to effectively engage diverse stakeholders and inspire residents to take action for NbS implementation and maintenance.
