NBRACER will join the 13th European Urban Resilience Forum, taking place on 17–19 June 2026 in Guimarães, Portugal, contributing to several sessions on Nature-based Solutions, regional resilience pathways and climate adaptation governance.
NBRACER will take part in the upcoming European Urban Resilience Forum – EURESFO 2026, one of Europe’s leading events dedicated to climate adaptation, resilience and the implementation of solutions across cities and regions.
Held from 17 to 19 June 2026 in Guimarães, Portugal, the forum will bring together local and regional authorities, policymakers, practitioners, researchers and European projects to exchange experiences and identify practical ways to accelerate climate resilience across Europe.
As part of the programme, NBRACER will contribute to several sessions focused on translating resilience ambitions into action and scaling the use of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) across territories.
NBRACER partner ICLEI, represented by Karen, is coordinating the project’s contribution to two sessions. The first, “Greener regions, real impact: Beyond the Buzzword to make Nature-based Solutions work,” will explore how NbS can move beyond concepts and pilot actions to deliver tangible benefits for regions and communities.
The second session, “Planning for Resilient Landscapes: Linking Water Management and Soil Health through NbS,” will focus on the role of Nature-based Solutions in connecting water management, soil health and landscape-scale resilience. East or West Flanders will contribute to this discussion on behalf of the NBRACER regions.
NBRACER will also contribute to the workshop “Regional Climate Resilience and Adaptation Pathways: Lessons Learnt and Policy Insights from On-the-Ground Experience,” coordinated by Aline from Climate KIC together with the NBRACER team. The session will take place on 17 June from 13:30 to 15:15.
This interactive workshop will bring together European cities and regions to share experiences on turning climate resilience strategies into concrete action. Through thematic discussions structured around the key building blocks of the resilience journey, participants will explore how to enable a just transition, develop effective pathways, strengthen adaptation governance, foster implementation and learning, and align regional action with EU-level climate risk insights.
By contributing to these sessions, NBRACER will share lessons from its regional work while learning from other Mission Adaptation and NBS4EU Cluster projects working to strengthen climate resilience across Europe.
Join NBRACER at EURESFO 2026 in Guimarães from 17–19 June 2026.
